Group Tours

The Yanks Air Museum welcomes individuals and all sizes of groups to tour the museum and the surrounding grounds, so why not pre-arrange for a personal tour guide and docent!    

The supportive staff and volunteers will make sure that your experience at the museum leaves a lasting impression!


What a museum tour includes:

  • Daily self-guided tours!
  • Docent guided tours avaiable by request.
  • Museum History Overview of the museum layout!
  • Tour covers over 9+ acres and 4 hangars!
  • Details on each aircraft and the restoration history!
  • Restoration Hangar (Experience actual restoration work in progress!)
  • Escorted by a knowledgeable aviation enthusiast!
  • Exposure to one of the largest collection of American fighters!
  • A walk through our “boneyard” to see our future projects!

Daily Tours – Self guided 9:00AM – 4:00PM

The museum tour guides/docents are aircraft historical knowledgeable volunteers making the museum and grounds tour interactive and complete with the history, technology, and the general facts on each of the aircraft and what vital role each aircraft had in aviation.

They are prepared to answer any questions that you have regarding the history of the museum, the collection, and aviation. Tour guides/docents are volunteers and are available on a day-by-day basis. All of our tour guides/docents are trained volunteers and able to help insure that your visit is maximized to the fullest.

Call ahead to make sure there is a tour guide/docent on the premises or use the the online form on the next tab to schedule your group tour in advance.


Guided Tours - (By Request Only)

Fill out the form on the next tab to schedule your group tour!  Have the following information available:

  • Name and mailing address (main contact for the tour)
  • Contact telephone number (personal, work and/or cell)
  • Name of the group
  • Preferred date and arrival time (Pre-scheduling is requested for larger groups)
  • Preferred length of time for the tour (tours can range from 2 – 4 hours depending on requirements)
  • Approximate number of attendees (numbers of adults and children, including children’s age range)
  • Special needs for the elderly and/or disabled

Guided Tour Deposit

A non-refundable deposit of $100 is required to hold a requested date for a guided tour.  

Method of deposit: cash, check, credit card (VISA or Mastercard)

Guided Tour Cancellation Policy

If the scheduled tour is a NO SHOW – the non-refundable deposit will not be used for a future re-schedule and is forfeited.  If the tour is cancelled 48 hours prior to the date, the deposit will be applied to a future rescheduled date.


For all Group Tours


Upon confirmation of your advance scheduled tour date and schedule, there will be confirmation package sent to the main contact, including:

  • A cover letter with the group name, date, and arrival time;
  • A copy of the Tour Group Policies;
  • Museum brochures, directions and 48 hours prior to the scheduled tour, the museum will confirm your reservation and get a final attendee count.

Children under age 5 FREE



All groups that include minors, the museum requests there be one (1) adult for every five (5) minors at all times.


Parents, Guardians and/or Supervisors will be held responsible for all minors and all damages and misconduct of the group. Before arriving at The Yanks Air Museum, it is requested that a discussion regarding proper museum behavior be conducted with the minors in the group.
