The Yanks Air Museum Foundation

The Yanks Air Museum Foundation is a non-profit educational foundation formed as a public charity under section 509 (a) (1) of the Internal Revenue Code.

The purpose of the Foundation is to act as a financial support organization to ensure the success, the financial stability and the future of The Yanks Air Museum.

Guided by a Board of Directors, The Yanks Air Museum Foundation is exclusively dedicated to providing funding to The Yanks Air Museum, a California Nonprofit Public Benefit Corporation, and one of the world's premier museums of antique and classic aircraft.


The purpose of all funding raised and expended is to construct facilities to house the Museum and its holdings, acquire artifacts, restore and maintain aviation and aerospace related items from the inception of flight to the present.

The Foundation will also provide and maintain aviation and aerospace equipment for historical, educational, scientific and cultural purposes. The Museum will serve as an inspirational and educational facility for members of the general public, youths, students and scholars. The efforts of the Foundation will ensure the active role of The Yanks Air Museum and its programs as an influence in the lives of generations of Americans for generations to come.

Greenfield Expansion

The Yanks Air Museum Foundation Board is in the midst of a nationwide capital campaign planning and assessment related to its multi-million dollar expansion plans for Greenfield in Monterey County.

The Board is approaching this project from a strategic perspective and has been gathering "community" input, conducting both marketing and philanthropic support research and putting an organizational structure in place, as well as establishing the scope of the campaign for the future.
